A Vision and a Dream
Coupled with her love of decorating for holidays and her innate ability to always find the perfect gift, Beth dreamed of one day owning her own holiday, gift shoppe.
After raising her children to adulthood and supporting her husband until his retirement from the State Highway Patrol, Beth’s dream became a reality in 2017 when Mountain Holiday opened its’ doors to the world!
Beth has filled the shelves with hand-picked gifts for every person, for every occasion. Walking around, you feel the love and the vision she had for the person you are shopping for. Turn the corner and you’ll discover that she’s also picked out something special, just for you. It’s as if she knew you were coming.
Time passes so quickly in the Christmas section. You’ll find yourself wandering through your own childhood memories while discovering perfect additions along the way, to help build more holiday memories.
Mountain Holiday is one very special shoppe located in downtown, Kings Mountain, North Carolina.
Supporting the Community
Supporting the community is nothing new to Beth and her husband, Dave. They both have belonged to, and supported many community organizations over the years. So naturally as a business, the connection to the community would only grow stronger.
Mountain Holiday supports our community by sponsorships and fundraising events with local Sports teams, Community Theatre, the Historical Society, the Southern Arts Society and more.
All while working with other small business owners in the downtown area to continue to build and maintain an awareness and vibrancy that Kings Mountain has been known for.

Hi everyone,
I’m Beth. I’m the owner of Mountain Holiday. Having this store is living my dream. I enjoy being able to be with people and help them feel welcomed to an environment that provides excellent products and exceptional service. I have 3 grown sons, 3 beautiful daughters-in-love, and 6 precious grandchildren that are the light of my life. I have been married to David Allen for 36 years and he supports me through all the ups and all the downs we have. The girls that work for me are awesome and you will love them just as I do. Thank you for helping me accomplish my dream.

Hey everybody it’s Camryn King, better known as Cam! I am a student at Gardner-Webb University and plan to graduate in December of 2022. I have been working at Mountain Holiday since October 2017. I have given myself the position of “Marketing Manager” at the store. I manage the social media and you may recognize me from the videos that Dave and I make on Facebook. Hey y’all, this is Carrie Allen. I am Beth’s daughter-in-love, married to her middle son. I have two beautiful daughters who love their GiGi and her store. I have been with Beth since the beginning of her journey at Mountain Holiday. It has been an honor to watch my amazing mother-in-love accomplish her life long dream of owning her own business in her home town. She thrives in her store, totally in her element, helping her friends find the perfect decor, or gift for any occasion. It’s a pleasure to meet so many people who know Beth and love her and her store. I love working along side her and hope this dream continues as a reality for our community.

My name is Emma Quinn, and I’ve been working at Mountain Holiday since October of 2020. I’m currently a student at UNC-Chapel Hill, so you’ll usually only be seeing me over the course of long weekends or on my summer break. But when I’m home and working, I love seeing all of our fantastic customers and will be happy to help you all with anything you may need!
